About Szimeiszter Bows

István Szimeiszter began making bows for fellow archers in 1992 and moved into laminated wooden construction in 1994. The workshop has remained centred on individual orders rather than a large fixed-stock catalogue, so the bow is specified around the archer rather than chosen only by model name. The range covers several Eurasian bow forms as well as hunting recurves. Customers can discuss draw length, draw weight and finish, and the workshop also offers the possibility of testing different bows by prior arrangement — useful when choosing between models or deciding on an appropriate draw weight.
