About
Preserving craftsmanship. Connecting the traditional archery community.
A trusted place for traditional archery
Sacred Stag was created to bring the world of traditional archery together in a carefully curated directory — from bow makers and craftsmen to clubs and events.
Exceptional craftsmanship is not always easy to find. Many respected makers have built their reputation through decades of work, local communities and word of mouth rather than through a strong online presence. Sacred Stag aims to make that knowledge easier to discover while respecting the people, traditions and skills behind the craft.
Connecting, not replacing
Sacred Stag is not a marketplace and is not intended to replace the websites, workshops, shops or sales channels of the people and organizations listed here. Our role is to help visitors discover them, understand what they do and connect with them through their own contact channels.
We believe a directory should serve the traditional archery community rather than stand between makers and the people looking for their work.
Listed, Verified and Premium
A listing may be created from reliable, publicly available information or through a direct application. Verified profiles are clearly identified and indicate that key profile information has been confirmed through direct contact or review.
Premium provides additional presentation features for those who want to showcase their work in greater detail. Premium does not buy verification, influence editorial judgment or place a profile above others under the guise of a recommendation.
Our principles
Quality over quantity. Clear verification. No public ratings or comments. No fake reviews. No paid ranking disguised as a recommendation. Respect for traditional craftsmanship, cultural heritage and the people who keep these traditions alive.
Built to grow with the community
Sacred Stag begins in Europe, but its purpose is broader: to create a dependable reference for traditional archery and to help remarkable makers, craftsmen, clubs and events remain visible to the next generation of archers.
Our aim is to build a directory defined by trust, quality and respect for traditional craftsmanship.
