28-Target Hunt at Fekete Horgony
Foktői Éjsólyom SE takes archers to the banks of a Danube oxbow on 10 October for a 28-target 3D hunt built around a deliberately simple format: one course, two scoring arrows at every animal and no rangefinders. The course uses Eleven and Naturfoam 3D targets. Maximum shooting distances are 45 metres from the red stake, 27 metres from blue and 18 metres from white. Both arrows carry equal value, using an 11–10–8–5 scoring system. The competition accepts the HDH-IAA 3D bow categories except crossbow, bringing traditional, recurve and compound equipment onto the same course in their respective divisions. The organiser describes it as an independent event rather than part of a championship series. Registration and warm-up begin in the morning, with the briefing at 08:45 and first arrows at 09:30. Prize-giving is planned for around 17:00. Advance registration closes at 12:00 on 7 October, and the organiser states that registration on the day will not be available. Entry fees range from 3,000 HUF for children to 5,000 HUF for adults and veterans. There is also a distinctly local touch to the day: breakfast lángos, free camping and the Fekete Horgony pub operating during the competition.
